Mrs. Benz's 7th grade Exploring Careers class has just wrapped up their organization unit with an "Organize Your Life" challenge. Students got to pick an area of their life to organize (most chose their lockers) and come up with a plan to implement and a system to maintain it. They then had to give a presentation on their process that showed their space before and after. This unit taught students how developing good organization skills now can benefit them in their future careers.

Do you watercolor, draw, play card games, play an instrument, or have a special talent or skill? HMB is looking for community volunteers to share their skills with students on Quality Time Fridays during the second semester to create multi-generational collaboration and camaraderie. Come for one day or several, from 9:30 am to 11:30 am. Previous collaborations include chess, sewing, cooking/baking, robotics, woodworking, knitting, cross-stitching, etc. HMB welcomes all previous and new collaborations!! The volleyball team played a tough match against Medina-PB in the Region Championship last night. The Lady Lions are the Region 1 Runner-up and advance to a state qualifier match against Benson County on Saturday, Nov. 15th, @ The Harold Newman Event Center in Jamestown. Game time is slated for 5:00 PM.

Congrats to Brooklyn & Makiah for being named to the All Region Team and to Head Coach Kadie Walls on being named Region 1 Coach of the Year!

The preschoolers have been busy exploring numbers 1-5, turkeys, and magnets. Highlights have been making turkeys for the hallway, counting to match the number to set, fine motor work by beading a turkey, and exploring how magnets can push and pull each other.
