Have a safe holiday break!

The 6th-grade students love being able to write their own stories. As a class, we have been working on using descriptive words to enhance our writing. This week we built our own gingerbread houses! After they finished, they needed to create a sale ad to "sell" their gingerbread houses. Students focused on using specific vocabulary and different adverbs/adjectives to create an image in the reader's mind! They did a great job creating these!
Congrats Cash on your State Championship this past weekend!

5th graders worked on a science project that involved making a mixture that could fill potholes and prevent them from getting bigger. They had to research their own recipe and then make it. Finally, they ran trials on how stretchy and bouncy their mixture was. Some turned out, and others ended up a little hard or dried out. They found out dish soap really helps keep the "putty" moist, stretchy, and bouncy!!😊

This year the high school has added a new type of health class: Family Living. This class is open to 10th-12th grade and has been focused on some basic "how to survive on your own" aspects of life. The students have done some baking, kitchen organizing, and cleaning tasks, and are currently working on learning craft-type hobbies. We have volunteered to set up and decorate the Christmas tree in the main entry and will be making many of the ornaments for the tree. Be sure and stop to check out their work.

Dear Parents/Guardians,
You are cordially invited to a "top of the morning" coffee chat with teachers and administrators. This is a great opportunity for both parents and school employees to get to know each other better and to learn from each other in an informal setting. We know that our student success depends on families and schools working together, and this starts with just getting to know each other.
Tuesday, November 21, 2023, from 7:45 am – 8:30am
