💛🖤 Classroom Spotlight 🖤💛
The 2nd graders have been working on contractions in grammar class, so they've been doing fun activities to master the skill. They got to put together a flower puzzle with contractions on it.
They have also enjoyed their time with Acacia Stuckle from the NDSU Extension Office on Tuesdays. Acacia is teaching them all about nutrition! They have been tracking fruits, vegetables, grains, and dairy.

Recently the 3rd grade class was selected to receive a Sunbutter® kit from the North Dakota Department of Agriculture. They experimented with the making of sunbutter. They were also given information about bees, honey, pollination, and its importance in raising plants. After making the sunbutter and sampling it they had to fill out a survey. The survey asked what they learned about making sunbutter, the different tastes created by adding honey, and the importance bees play in pollination and production.
