Happy Friday, HMB! 🎉
We’re heading into the weekend with BIG smiles and even bigger pride! HMB Elementary has been recognized by the ND Department of Public Instruction as ranking in the top 10% of North Dakota public schools based on state accountability metrics!
This achievement is a true testament to the hard work, dedication, and heart our students and staff bring each and every day. We couldn’t be prouder!
A huge thank-you to our amazing families and communities for your continued support — it truly takes a team, and we’re so grateful to have one of the best. Have a fantastic weekend, HMB! 💛🖤

The 2nd graders had a lesson on erosion from Mystery Science. They started with boulders (brown construction paper) that turned into rocks, then into pebbles, and finally turned into sand. We also learned that there are green, blue, purple, tan, brown, gray, and black rocks, which make for a variety of colored beaches. Lastly, we learned that there are rainbow beaches in Argentina and Australia.

The Elementary Students had some fun finishing up their gymnastics unit in Mr. Fray’s class. After the individual exercises, they were able to perform partner stunts. Some of them also came up with their own poses. Great Job, everyone!

The 6th Grade Social Studies class wrapped up their Ancient Egyptian Topic by having to construct a pyramid out of marshmallows and toothpicks. They had two days to plan, build, and rebuild if necessary, and then reflect on the outcome of their pyramids.
