The Kindergarten class has been working on identifying coins and the value of each coin. To reinforce these skills, the class set up a store. They were using money to purchase items.

The 1st graders took advantage of the rainy weather this morning to scoop up some earthworms. They measured them using inches and centimeters. One of the earthworms was 11 inches long!

Most of the 7th graders have been enjoying their chapter on animals. Dissections have begun- the clam, worm, and starfish are done. The 3rd grade class joined for the starfish. More dissecting to come: crayfish, perch, and frog!! #HMB #togetherwegrow
Saturday's track meet has been canceled.
2024 Senior Class Trip to Rapid City was packed with adventure! Students visited the South Dakota state capital in Pierre, Mount Rushmore, Reptile Gardens, and hiked Sylvan Lake. Glow ball mini-golf, laser tag, swimming, and an escape room kept the students busy! Thanks for being such a great group of seniors!!
Last Friday, HMB hosted the Emmons County Safe Night event for 5th-7th grade students from Strasburg, Linton, & HMB. Thank you to the local schools and organizations for their help in making this event successful.

In the last few weeks, the 5th and 6th grade ELA classes completed a novel study on Hatchet. For our final project, each student created a diorama of a scene from the book. They've demonstrated their creativity, critical thinking skills, and teamwork throughout the process. I am so proud of the dedication and enthusiasm they have shown throughout this project! Great job 5th and 6th graders!
