💛🖤 Classroom Spotlight 🖤💛
The 3rd graders have shown their "love for reading " throughout the week by researching and presenting their favorite planet in the solar system. They also were excited to be a part of "World Read Aloud Day". They were greeted by various authors online. The authors read their stories and taught the students about their illustrations. The students got to do a little drawing of their own, instructed by the author himself. We recently have incorporated D. E. A. R. time into our daily curriculum where we grab a favorite book and drop everything and read. The 3rd graders are "Reading out of this World!"
The HMB Junior & Senior government class spent the day at the state legislature on January 29th. Students visited different committees, listened to testimonies, and became familiar with the layout of the capital building. After lunch, 15 students were able to sit on the floor with either a senator or a house representative for the afternoon session. We had a full day of learning and our students represented HMB proudly with their professional attire and exemplary behavior!
