A little about Mrs. Long - My husband, Mark, and our sons, Justin and Jeff, have lived in North Dakota for over 30 years. Mark, Justin, and I have lived in Hazelton for about 10 years. We owned and operated Thats A Pizza & More in Linton, ND, from January 2017 through February 2023. I am recovering from a long illness and am looking forward to completing my healing while helping all you wonderful kids and staff. I'm looking forward to another new adventure in life.

Welcome to HMB Mr. Eichelberger!
A little about Mr. Eichelberger - I taught in New Rockford-Sheyenne for 8 years. I am excited to continue the small-town and close community life that I have grown to love. I have a passion for reading, writing, and esports. I feel incredibly welcomed, and can't wait to meet the HMB students.

The K-3 graders went on a field trip to the Bismarck Airport Maintenance and Executive Air. They had a blast learning about the heavy equipment they use to keep the runways safe and clean. They also got to sit inside a plane and learn about the maintenance of planes. Lastly, we had a picnic at Apple Creek Farm and learned about the history of alpacas. We got to pet and feed the alpacas, see the huge goldfish in the tank, and the chickens in the coop.

The HMB Envirothon team had a great couple of days at the state competition at Crystal Springs camp. One day was spent on the trails testing on wildlife, aquatics, prairie/forestry, and soils. One day was spent preparing and presenting on a current issue: how to preserve and protect the cottonwoods along the Missouri River. They learned a lot and had a lot of fun!
